Peer Gynt is a globally recognized pioneer in developing
rugged, traditionally styled explorer yachts for serious offshore cruising
enthusiasts. Peer Gynt has now broadened its global marketing to include a new
line of contemporary motor and sailing yachts to designs by Bill Dixon and René
van der Velden.
Peer Gynt was founded in 1997 in Fort Lauderdale as a
design studio specializing in practical explorer yachts for custom construction
in steel and alloy at select high-quality shipyards. Peer Gynt later began
building a proprietary line of epoxy-composite explorer yachts under subcontract
in Antalya, at the heart of Turkey’s booming south-coast industrial development.
Since 2004 Peer Gynt established its own production company and is fully
operational in the Antalya Free Zone.
Peer Gynt builds to Lloyd’s or RINA Class, with MCA certification as an option.
Its advanced production methods include hand-layup in molds, vacuum-bag resin
infusion, and heat-blanket post-curing for optimal strength and cosmetic finish.
Methods, materials, and quality control are under German and Turkish supervision
in consultation with SP Systems. Clearly, Peer Gynt continues its dedication to
pioneering design, construction, technology, and marketing.
